2004년 차를 샀던 때가 생각난다. 벌써 9년 4개월이나 지났고, 170,000 마일을 넘게 탔다. 돈만 좀 넉넉하게 있었더라면 새 차를 사도 이건 안팔고 킵하고 싶을 만큼 아끼는 차인데... 그렇지 않아서 팔게 되었다. 이제는 좀 큰 차가 필요하기도 하고, 스틱을 운전하는거때문에 허리가 더 아픈거 같기도 하고. 마지막으로 사진을 찍었다. 팔기 위해서 인터넷에 올릴라고 찍은 사진이기도 하지만, 보내기 전에 마지막 모습 간직하고 싶었다.

차를 9년을 넘게 탔더니 headlight cover 가 완전 뿌옇게 되어버렸다. 뿌옇게 된 headlight cover 를 완전 clear 하게 만들어준다는 광고가 인터넷에서도 많이 보이고, 우리집 맞은편에 있는 body shop벽에도 붙어있었다. 근데 아무래도 돈이 없으니까 하고는 싶어도 미루고 있었는데 Target 을 갔더니 FAST BRITE 브랜드 Auto Headlight Restorer Kit 이 $9.99 였다. 난 헤드라이트 커버 안쪽을 clean 해야된다고 생각하고 있었는데 대충 읽어보니까 밖에만 닦으면 된다는 거였다. Finally my GTI got a carwash. 1st time in 5 months. Picture was taken in front of Best Buy in Yorba Linda. I lived in Yorba Linda for quite awhile, and it was first time going to Best Buy in our neighborhood, which is kind of hard to explain because Best Buy is one of my favorite stores.

These two GTIs (Sam's GTI on the right) were supposed to be the same color. Apparently they were NOT. Actually, the picture came out not so bad.
