MY GTI - faithful friend for 100,000 miles

CPA Sean 2009. 2. 14. 17:56

Purchased on August 19, 2004.
Reached 100,000 miles on February 11, 2009. - in less than 4 1/2 years.
And it still runs like it's brand new.

I never regretted, not even once i swear, that I chose GTI for my 3rd car, which was the 1st car I got to choose.
Just like most European cars, it has had problems here and there, mostly electrical problems (replace bulbs about 1,000 times i think), but I always thought it was a small price to pay for such a nice car like this.
I don't recommend GTI to girls just because you have to get used to taking it to repair shops once in awhile, and you have to treat it like it's your baby.  Bottom line, GTI is just an awesome car with beautiful beautiful appearance.  Definitely fun to drive.  I believe that mine especially has an incredible price-to-value ratio, because I bought it at almost the lowest possible price, with only two options added: 17" alloy wheels and Electronic Stabilization, not to mention I got 0% financing for 5 years.  I don't know when I'll be saying good-bye to my awesome friend, but it looks like it's not gonna happen anytime soon, considering my financial portfolio.

This was taken when it was less than a year old, with OEM rims.

Also when it was pretty new. At UCLA parking lot #6

M3, G35, and GTI. 3 top designs of all time. Out of these 3, only BMW has come up with even better design.

With new rims. I DID and DO regret that i changed rims.

After getting HID lights.  Bulb went out so many times, but they definitely worth it.
