Ordered this absurdly over-priced accessory for my 7D called Zacuto Z-finder.
It helps to overcome some of the limitations of Video-DSLRs as they were not manufactured primarily for shooting videos.
It turns LCD into a viewfinder which lets you focus better and lets you see details in bright settings. It also adds stability by providing a point of contact. Please do not google it to check the price of this thing, because you'll probably think I'm crazy for buying this thing. I hesitated a long time about getting this while hoping someone would make something similar at a reasonable price. But after reading and watching many reviews (from Philipbloom.co.uk) I concluded this is it. Can I live without it? Sure. But for video, focusing and stability are major major element for quality. And it's also about getting the most out of my Canon 7D. Thinking about 3 weddings/receptions booked until May, and I just had to make the investment.
