1 week at new job

It's been 6 work days since I started at this new work. So far it's been great. Same kind of work as before but very different setting. First of all, there is no one who's looking over my shoulder. That's not all that great because that means I have to find answers to my own questions and there's no one to ask when things go over my limit. Our attorney comes to our office only once a week, and he skipped last week. After 6 days of work, I still don't know what my attorney looks like.

Office is very relaxing. The office doesn't have many clients but I have enough load of work since I'm picking up what the other paralegal had left off, and trying to set up a good work-

flow. And no one is there to explain what's going in with each case. People are very nice. In fact, there aren't that many people to begin with.

Except for the fact that I'm getting paid waaaaaaay less than what I used to get paid, (you won't believe if I tell you how less) I'm very grateful for the job I got. Working at another immigration law firm was totally not what I planned when I first thought about leaving the other office. Oh well. I guess this is life. Sometimes (or most of the time?) things don't work out as you planned.
