Lunch Money

People who know me well know how well I keep my personal finances.  I write down every single transaction, and I have records which date back to 2003.  I have been in financial difficulties since summer of last year, so I try my best to keep expenses down.  I just checked and saw that I spent $14.55 this week on lunch, that’s the 3rd most I’ve spent out of 24 weeks in 2010.   This also means I haven’t bought anyone lunch this year (except at Carl’s Jr. and Togo’s).  I used to enjoy eating with people and normally I would take the tab, but right now I have no idea when I can start doing that again.  I can’t call up friends to eat together any more.  Of course, I can ask people to buy me food, but you can do that only so many times, and no one is in good shape financially these days.  Money can’t buy you happiness? Don’t have answer for that, but surely, lack of it can take some happiness away from your life. No arguing welcomed.
